Video: Bad Breaks — “The Way Things Are”

My band Bad Breaks has been hard at work on our first LP, so we haven’t been playing any gigs lately (in fact, our last performance was at my art show at LoneStar Studio last August). Last weekend we returned to the stage at Boneshakers and performed a brand-new song, (currently titled) “The Way Things Are.” Ricardo Martinez, an old schoolmate of mine who is now a professional musician and producer, sat in on alto sax and did a fantastic job. While Bad Breaks has always favored sax/woodwinds in other songs, I think this one helped me work out my obsession with the smooth sounds of Destroyer’s Kaputt, my favorite record of 2011.
